Autism Support Groups – LATEST NEWS!
The new Plymouth Autism Hub are starting free sessions for young people aged 16-19 years to be supported to come and make friends in a safe space. The Hub is on the 1st Floor of the 'Moments Community Cafe in New George Street. They also run 3 sessions a month for adults on the spectrum. A new Autism Parents/ Carers Support Group is now running, once a month, daytime or evening free for parents / carers of a person any age with autism.
Our next meeting is on November 22nd at 7.15pm in Pomphlett Methodist Church Hall, and Nov 23rd at 10am in Devonport's Welcome Hall, 4 Fore Street, Devonport.
We are lucky enough to have a free parents workshop on 'Managing Anger/Anxiety' on December 6th from the NAS - booking essential. There is a Facebook Page here with the details on:Managing Anger/Anxiety Facebook Page
There are fun activities for youngsters aged 8 - 18 years with autism and mental health needs with Routeways in the Devonport Park Activity Centre. on the first Saturday of the month from 2.30pm - 4.30pm - e.g. Nov 4th and alternate Wednesdays at 4 -6pm, aimed at building our children's confidence and self-esteem.

Preparing for Adulthood Pathway Workshop
Tuesday 24th April 09.00 – 13.00
Plymouth Science Park
Anyone working with young people moving towards adulthood is welcome to attend this free seminar.
The Preparing for Adulthood Pathway which has been developed in recent months will be launched at this event.
There will be interactive workshops during the morning which will explore ways that working need to change to enable young people to move smoothly through to adulthood with the right support at the right time available to them.
