James is married with two grown-up sons and lives in Plymouth. He enjoys running, cycling and trying to surf.

Leni McCormick

Vice Chair/Co-opted Governor

Leni is the Link Governor for Safeguarding

Leni has lived in Plymouth since moving here in the late 90’s. She’s a freelance proofreader and copy-editor, and a strong believer in literacy and reading for pleasure. Having grown up in a deprived area, she’s also an advocate for social justice and inclusiveness.

Lynne Palmer

Parent Governor

Lynne is the Link Governor for Attendance

Lynne has spent nearly 30 years living in Plymouth, enjoying the South-West since moving from London in the 1990s. Working in the Dockyard (now Babcock) for 25 years, she has always advocated for young people’s growth and development in STEM and Early Careers, supporting and mentoring new entrants, apprentices and graduates.

Outside of work, she has previously served as a Governor for Drake Primary Academy and has always strived to be involved to ensure that children’s educational journeys are enriching, empowering and helping them grow and be ready for life outside of school.  Lynne is passionate about education and the well-being of young people (very nearly becoming a teacher) and is looking forward to being able to contribute to being part of All Saints’ legacy.

Naomi Drake

Staff Governor

Naomi has been working at All Saints Academy as the On-Site Alternative Provision Lead since September 2022.  Before that, she worked at a school in Exeter for a number of years.

Naomi has been teaching since 2005 and initially trained as a teacher of English.  During her career, she has managed an off-site alternative provision for KS4 students at risk of exclusion as well as working in cross-city inclusion projects in Exeter and Plymouth.

Outside of work, Naomi enjoys going to the theatre, film and cinema and going to watch live music.

Peter Dyson

Co-opted Governor

Peter is the Link Governor for SEND

Peter is a retired engineer who has been employed in industry, the Royal Navy and in Higher Education. He has worked in areas as diverse as textile engineering, turbine design and marine propeller research. Consequently he has a particular interest in STEM subjects and understands how these can lay important foundations for fulfilling and varied careers. He is a husband (his wife is a retired primary school teacher who specialised in SEND), father and grandad. He is actively involved in the work at ASAP’s parish church, St Pancras and his interests include racing his Laser sailing dinghy, hill walking and running in a valiant attempt to keep fit.

Richard Stevens

Chair of Governors

Richard Stevens, the Managing Director of Plymouth Citybus since May 2012, has spent over three decades shaping the public transport landscape in the Southwest. Beginning as a bus driver in Cornwall in 1989, his journey has seen him lead a workforce of 950 people, overseeing a fleet of 350 buses that collectively serve over 30 million passengers annually. Beyond his pivotal role at Plymouth Citybus, Richard actively contributes to regional development as the Chair of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and the Plymouth Area Business Council. He also serves as Chair of Destination Plymouth and is a director of the National Marine Park, showcasing his commitment to both business and environmental stewardship.

In the education sector, Richard passionately serves as the Chair of Governors for both All Saints Secondary School and City College Plymouth. This reflects his dedication to securing a bright and equitable future for the region's youth through quality education and diverse employment opportunities. Born in North Devon, Richard is deeply proud of his West Country heritage, and in his rare moments of leisure, he enjoys pursuits such as sailing, rugby, and the joys of being a Grandad.
